For the life of my I can't get Outlook to send mail. It will receive it.
Outlook Express will SEND and RECEIVE email even though I have designated Outlook as my "default" email program. I set up Outlook as an pop. and smtp. account -- the same as OE. Please adivse!! Thanks. |

Me, again. I receive NO error messages and Outlook doesn't tell me a thing.
I just know it doesn't send emails because I've asked the intended recipiens to tell me if they've received the emails AND I send one to myself and it never gets to OE OR Outlook. are you authenticating with the server?
outlook should have a send/receive error on a failure (tools, send/receive... show progress dialog) - if there is none, find and delete the *.srs file for the profile. It's in My Documents and Settings under one of the hidden Microsoft\Outlook folders. If that fails, try detect and repair. -- Diane Poremsky [MVP - Outlook] Author, Teach Yourself Outlook 2003 in 24 Hours Need Help with Common Tasks? http://www.outlook-tips.net/beginner/ Outlook 2007: http://www.slipstick.com/outlook/ol2007/ Outlook Tips by email: Outlook Tips: http://www.outlook-tips.net/ Outlook & Exchange Solutions Center: http://www.slipstick.com Subscribe to Exchange Messaging Outlook newsletter: "D Wilson" wrote in message ...
