Default Outlook 2003 - Slow Response

Hi...Can someone help me please?
I am running XP on a Dell PC.
I have separate logins for myself & my wife.
Outlook 2003 works fine for me in my login but painfully slow for my wife in
hers.
When she creates a new mail items, it does not display the text as she types
it. There is a long delay, like 20 seconds and then all the text appears.
The text is correct just longs time delays.

I have done lots of housekeeping to delete old email but it doesn't seem to
help.

Any ideas would be apprecaited

Thanks

Did you resolve this? I came here looking for an anser to the same question.
I have a solution that worked for me, but it is more of a work around then a
solution:

Tools/Options/Mail Format - select Rich Text format.
