The Boss has several Domains:
Boss@Domain1 Boss@Domain2 Boss@Domain3 They want to select (preferrably from a pull down) which From they are using when they send an email. They would like the ReplyTo to change (and match) with the From. Ideally, this (FROM and REPLYTO) will default to, who the email they are replying to was sent TO:. Seems simple (basic SMTP), but how do you do this in Outlook? I have updated their email form to have FROM: listed on every email, but it fails with: You do not have permission to send to this recipient. For assistance, contact your system administrator. if the addresses are on his mailbox, you either need to use an account (pop3
or imap, use faked incoming servers) with the other email addresses or a 3rd party tool: http://www.ivasoft.biz/rightfrom.shtml if they are in a public folder or other mailbox, he needs send as permission on the mailboxes - this is why it failed for you. -- "Michael P. Thanks Diane,
I do have "dual homed" domains on my Exchange Server. I really do not want to set up a separate mailbox, since that defeats the whole purpose of smtp addresses for the same mailbox. I need to keep this simple for management, so I have one inbox with several smtp email names for them. This is a very basic 1960's era smtp feature "send -from Boss@Domain2 -f email.txt", I hate to pay someone $20 for an add-in just to fix a bug that prevents me from using a standard smtp email feature. Are you sure that is the ONLY way to use the standard Microsoft Outlook product? If it is broken in Outlook (hard to believe), is there an Office download from Microsoft to override this "feature"? Michael P.S. simple answer to different mailbox is "no", they are only using one mailbox, with several aliases and smtp addresses; Exchange hosts two domains.
