How to backup E-Mail Accounts???? (in outlook 2003)
I noticed that the tool goes away in 2007. So what is the best way to do it
in office 2007 ? please help I am having similar issues of rebuilding the machine and my life is in the outlook... How to backup E-Mail Accounts???? (in outlook 2003)
Why would you want to backup the configuration? Configuring a mail account
in Outlook 2007 is a simple as putting in your email address and password. Well I have multiple 9 pop accounts configured
I have numerours rules created are just two reasons why I am looking for a tool instead of doing ti manualy I did it before when using office 2003. I upgraded to 2007 and I need to rebuild my laptop[which is my primary computer] and there is a lot of info to reconfigure if i have to, plus more. One of the reasons it was dropped was because it is unreliable; an Outlook
configuration is heavily tied to an installation. Transferring that to another machine can cause many corruptions which result in the same thing; reconfigure it manually. 3rd party tools are no better. Rules cannot be transferred from one machine to the other either especially when an upgrade is also being done. But of course it doesn't hurt to export them and try to import then. You can do this by pressing the Options button via Tools- Rules and Alerts In most cases you are much faster by reconfiguring it.
