Just reinstalled Outlook 2000 from original disk on upgraded motherboard,
processor and hdd. Problem is when I open Outlook it goes to my provider (COX.net) and brings down all my mail, but it also deletes many of the items upon download. What have I done wron in the new installtion? |

You probably have not enabled the option to leave copies of downloaded message on the server. That's on the Advanced tab of the account properties pages. -- Brian Tillman [MVP-Outlook] |

The option is enabled and the e-mails remain on the server. It is in outlook
that some of the e-mails self delete upon dowload and are not in the deleted folder. I must use the ISP's web mail access to view the lost e-mail. The view is set for messages and the filter is turned off.
