Default Sent Folder

I have AOL setup in Outlook 2007. When I reply to an e-mail, the e-mail I
send goes directly to the Inbox - AOL folder instead of the Sent Items folder.

What setting(s) do I change to have my SENT e-mails go to the Sent Items
folder instead of the Inbox folder?

Thanks,
Marvin P Stein CPA

Is the second checkbox from the top checked at Tools Options Preferences
tab Email Options button Advanced Email Options?

Thanks for your reply....

Yes, the second checkbox from the top is checked.

The Advanced E-mail Options that have been selected in my program are.....

AutoSave items in - Drafts
Checked - Autosave items every 3 minutes
Checked - In folders other than the Inbox, save replies with original message
Checked - Save forwarded messages

Should the second checkbox from the top be checked or unchecked?

It has been a looooong time since I used AOL, but is your e-mail account an
IMAP account with them? If it is and that box is checked, then I believe
that is why you are seeing what you are seeing.

The account type is POP3.
The Incoming mail server is imap.aol.com.
The Outgoing mail server (SMTP) is smtp.aol.com

I've now UNChecked - In folders other than the Inbox, save replies with
original
message

We'll test it now and see what happens.........................

Thanks,
Marvin
