Default double contacts in users Outlook 2003 when creating a dist. list??

I have a user here that when they go to create a dist list and select
contacts from the drop down menu it shows multiple entries for the same
people. Any clue as to what is causing that? If we just click on the
contacts icon within the Outlook client it does not have multiple entries.
It only happens when we go to their contacts by selecting members for a dist.
list and selecting contacts from the drop down list. Any clue on how to
clean that up?

Certainly. In addition to the three email addresses allowed for each
contact, fax numbers are also considered by Outlook to be electronic
addresses and Outlook will show you all the electronic addresses for a
contact. That means up to four entries can appear for any one contact when
viewing the Address Book.

If we just click
on the contacts icon within the Outlook client it does not have
multiple entries.

I'll bet it does, either more than one email address or an email address and
a fax number.

Don't enter more than one email address or any fax numbers for your contacts
and the addres book will show only the single entry. Alternatively, scroll
the address book display horizontally, examine which address you want to use
and select the correct one.
