Mail Applet will not work
What o/s is this?

When I run Outlook 2000, the application comes up but with a message "Operation Failed" I cannot run the mail applet from the control panel, nothing happens. When I go to Itnernet settings to specify the mail program, Outlook is not listed there. I have been installing and uninstalling all day.
