Mail Applet will not work
XP. I figured out that I had used Windows installer cleaner to remove the
outlook program without ever uninstalling the program from the control panel. I think I must have wiped out the registry of the program name. I uninstalled via the control panel and re installed Office 2000 and then it bacame a choice on the menu for default progrms again. "DL" wrote: What o/s is this? "Phil" wrote in message ... When I run Outlook 2000, the application comes up but with a message "Operation Failed" I cannot run the mail applet from the control panel, nothing happens. When I go to Itnernet settings to specify the mail program, Outlook is not listed there. I have been installing and uninstalling all day.
