outlook 07 can't send emails from public wireless network

Running oulook 07 on vista home prem laptop.

I can send and rec email from my comcast acct at home, but when traveling
with laptop and connecting to internet via a public wireless or lan i can
recieve but not send emails. Tried changing the outgoing smtp setting to 465
and 527 as outlook help suggested, but no luck. Outlook help says contact
isp, comcast says contact microsoft.

I'd say it's a restriction on the wireless which means "contact the ISP".
Try with Windows Mail to confirm.
