Default Attachment Previewers file associations in 2007.

I receive emails with a .log attachment, which, of course, is just a text
file. Is there a way to inform Outlook 2007 to use the text document
previewer for this file type? The file type settings in Folder Options
indicates that this file extention is text, but it does not have an
application associated with it. I would prefer not to have to save this file
and view it from another application (I just need to glance at it). Thanks!

I'm not sure if you can preview it inline but you could associate Notepad
with it and it would be a quick open without savign it.

True, and I realize that. It is more of a question of "can I associate a
file type that I know what it is so that Outlook can preview it?" Looking at
my question, I can see why you would answer it that way... It does seem
annoying if we can't configure it that way.

I don't know of any obvious Outlook settings for hits.
There *might* be a registry setting somewhere.
Possibly the best people to ask is those who develop the previewers. Outlook
programming group - maybe.
If you find an answer I'd like to know too.
