Default Moving to Outlook 2007, need PST file advise

My PST file is an original Outlook '97 which became a '2000, which became an
Outlook 2003 PST file. I'm wondering if its time to start fresh with Outlook
2007...

The file works OK with the exception of archiving. It won't archive
properly. So, I don't archive :-) I would love to start archiving again...

If the best thing is to start fresh, can I save my e-mail folders to CSV
files like the contact folders and them import them in Outlook 2007?

Thanks in advance for your help!

If you upgraded without creating a new pst, when you got to OL2003, time to
start afresh with a new OL2007 data file.
In OL, FileOpen........browse to old data file. (this assumes the OL2007
was opened/configured with a new data file)
Copy stuff from old to new

No, just re-connect the .PST file to Outlook 2007. From there, you can
create a new Unicode .PST (the old one is in the ANSI format and has a hard
size limitation of 2 Gb) and drag and drop the contents of the old .PST into
it.
