Default move from 2003(win98) to 2007 (vista)

Complex problem - I think. I moved from win98se(HP) to Vista(Dell). Migration
tool useless. I removed hard drive from HP. It's on new PC, in an
"enclosure", mtd. as removable drive. I don't know how to get all Outlook
2003 Contacts, old mail, etc., from old hard drive to O'look 2007.
Can anyone help, please? Much important stuff involved.
Thanks, in advance!
