Default Outlook 97 removal

Recently installed Outlook 2007. Doing so did not replace old Outlook 97, so
now I have two Outlooks. Apparently this causes a conflict so that
ActiveSynch will not work for my new Win Mobile 5.0 cell phone. Trying to
remove old Outlook results in message saying I must insert program CD, which
I do not have with me on travel. What should I do to successfully synch?
