I have MS office 2007 Ent Edt installed on Windows Vista Business/enterprise
edition.

Recently I applied the MS Office 2007 SP1. When I try to search email items
in Outlook 2007, Outlook keeps crashing. Windows File search is OK.

The event log entry I see is as follows.

I also tried repairing Office installation. No sucess.

I'm working on this exact same problem for a friend, except his only throws
the error while trying to search Calendar.

Dear Dustymac,

I had almost given up on this problem & learned to live with it. Until I
discoverd that outlook search was happening if performed in the current
working folder but would crash when done in all folders.

Today when I read your post, I once again tried to search in all outlook
folders & everthing was OK.

seems to me that regular vista & other office 2007 updates have resolved the
issue.

rebuilding search index etc.

Outlook crashes every time I search - mail,contacts,calendar - every time.

I'm struggling with this same problem. Search any particular folder, no
problem. Search accross folders - mail, contacts, calendar, tasks - crash,
every time.
