I have the same problem...I called my ISP and they said it was a problem with
Outlook Express; and that they'd received a bajillion calls on the same problem. I've checked all my settings, but as my laptop and my desktop stopped sending mail at the same time I think Microsoft must have had an error in a recent update - web based sending is fine, but I prefer OE. Can anyone give us some solutions? "John" wrote: Can't SEND email fr/home, work e-mail no problem ok. RECEIVE email ok everywhere. please help! hereis the error message. PJ again...I read some threads and there was talk of Norton, which I don't
have, recommendations to clean up the inbox, etc... I cleaned up my inbox on my desktop, did a update via Windows update, did a disc cleanup...and nothing worked. I didn't do anything to my laptop.....and suddenly Outlook Express is recieving mail. I go to my desktop and it is too.....very weird. Any explanations from anyone would be appreciated. I'm going to hold my breath whenever I hit send for awhile... "John" wrote: Can't SEND email fr/home, work e-mail no problem ok. RECEIVE email ok everywhere. please help! hereis the error message. Hi PJ,
I talked to a tec guy and he thinks it's because my home email uses a different type of server for sending e-mail then the one from work. He has to set-up a new acount for sending e-mails at home. It will take him a few days to come and set this up on my computer. So I won't know if this solves the problem for a while.
