Default Reinstalling Office (more importantly, Outlook 2003)

I have an older computer running Windows XP and Office 2003. I've run into a
couple of issues which I believe will be resolved by reinstalling Office. My
concern, however, is losing my emails and contacts in Outlook. If I unistall
the current software and then reinstall it again, will I lose the emails and
contacts or are they stored in a data file which will remain on my computer
after the unistall?

No you wont lose anything - though a backup is allways reccomended - but
what makes you think an uninstall/reinstall will help?, it rarely does

No, you won't lose mail, just like you won't lose Word documents.
