Is there a way to configure Outlook 2007 so it uses the same shortcut keys as
Word? Outlook no longer recognizes the same keys (Alt-E-T for cut, Alt-E-P for paste, etc.) - it uses a whole new set of CTRL-based shortcut keys. Is it not using Word as its editor? Do I have an option? It seems ridiculous to have to memorize a whole new set of shortcut keys for two Microsoft products that come packaged together when for the last several decades they've been the same...? |

CTRL-C, CTRL-X, and CTRL-V have always been Copy, Cut, and Paste, respectively, for nearly all WIndows programs. Nothing new at all. I'm sure those still work for Office 2007 just as they've worked for all prior versions of Office. Is it not using Word as its editor? Yes, a "light" version. Do I have an option? I don't think you can change the shortcut keys. -- Brian Tillman [MVP-Outlook] |
