I could not get BCM to install. I would get a vague error message near the
end of the BCM install that stated that BCM could not be installed (REALLY??) and referred me to a logfile that was useless - it actually stated at the end that BCM had been installed successfully!! As it turns out, the problem was that a previously installed SQL program (ACT! V7.0) did not completely unistall (even though it was no longer in the Control Panel Add/Remove Software list). Left over were Windows Installer fragments, the ACT7 service, registry snap in SQL code, and the SQL Program Files folders (which could not be deleted until the service was deleted). Doing all of the above is not for the weak of heart (had to use several removal tools & methods), but is did solve the problem and BCM installed just fine. -- Gary Phillips MSRP, AAC, PCLCIC, T3CC Pittsburgh, PA Phone: 412-766-2280 E-mail: URL: www.execautomation.com |
