I tried installing with my source disc and got a message that I have reached
the max allowable activations for that copy. that's, fine, I don't need the copy on the old PC. I'd just like to know how to transfer that to the new pc. Any help is much appreciated. |

You don't normally transfer the license on the new PC but you just
install the retail version of Microsoft Office on a new PC using your original CDs/DVDs. The message you are getting is false and ignore it. There is no maximum allowable activations. You need to pick up the phone and dial the MS office in your country. If you don't get the local number for your country then try this link: http://www.microsoft.com/presspass/internat.mspx HTH Dave(o) wrote: I tried installing with my source disc and got a message that I have reached the max allowable activations for that copy. that's, fine, I don't need the copy on the old PC.
