Default Filing missing

I have installed Office pro plus 2007. After my computer does any automatic
update on anything, I get the following message when I try to open Outlook:
"This application has failed to start because MSVCR80.dll was not found.
Re-installing the application may fix this problem."

Re-installing it does fix the problem until my computer runs another update.
Any suggestions on how to fix this for good?

What antivirus do you use? Is it scanning email? What computer do you use?

Norton is one cause, but an Acer fingerprint utility is also reported to
cause it.
