Default IMAP in Outlook 2003

I have Outlook set to not do any automatic downloading of my mail, but I
noticed that my IMAP mail shows up in my inbox even when I haven't clicked
send/receive. I don't have any scheduled downloading set. Is there a special
setting for my IMAP folder somewhere that I'm not finding?
thanks,
Southern At Heart
