I have just installed Outlook 2003 on my new Vista computer and when I
open the program I get the message "This information service has not been configured, select an existing file to configure or type the name of a new file". When I click 'OK' in the box, the box and the program closes. Would anyone have any advice on what to do? Many thanks, Ian -- |

I'm not intending to use Outlook for mail at present - I will use Windows Mail (OE). I want to use it solely for contacts and calendar functions. Ian |

You'd still need to create a mail profile then. You can create a mail
profile without a mail account configured as well. -- Robert Sparnaaij [MVP-Outlook] Coauthor, Configuring Microsoft Outlook 2003 http://www.howto-outlook.com/ Outlook FAQ, HowTo, Downloads, Add-Ins and more http://www.msoutlook.info/ Real World Questions, Real World Answers ----- "Ian F." wrote in message ... Keep in mind that Windows Mail won't be able to use your Outlook contacts. You'll need to keep another set of them in Windows Contacts for that purpose. -- Brian Tillman [MVP-Outlook] |
