What type of email account? Does the Address book show when you open it?
I'd probably delete outcmd.dat and *.srs files - they may or may not help but they won't do any damage either. Paste this line in windows explorer's address bar to open it to the folder where the files are stored. %USERPROFILE%\Application Data\Microsoft\Outlook -- Diane Poremsky [MVP - Outlook] Need Help with Common Tasks? http://www.outlook-tips.net/beginner/ Outlook 2007: http://www.slipstick.com/outlook/ol2007/ Outlook Tips by email: EMO - a weekly newsletter about Outlook and Exchange: Outlook Tips: http://www.outlook-tips.net/ Outlook & Exchange Solutions Center: http://www.slipstick.com You can access this newsgroup by visiting http://www.microsoft.com/office/comm...s/default.mspx or point your newsreader to msnews.microsoft.com. I followed Dianes directions but it always said there was no such thing,
perhaps there is a dot, dash or backslash missing. %USERPROFILE%\ApplicationData\Microsoft\Outlook would not work is it correct? "Diane Poremsky [MVP]" wrote: What type of email account? What OS?
It should work for both WinXP and Vista (it does here) - the one specifically for vista is %USERPROFILE%\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Outlook -- Diane Poremsky [MVP - Outlook] Need Help with Common Tasks? http://www.outlook-tips.net/beginner/ Outlook 2007: http://www.slipstick.com/outlook/ol2007/ Outlook Tips by email: EMO - a weekly newsletter about Outlook and Exchange: Outlook Tips: http://www.outlook-tips.net/ Outlook & Exchange Solutions Center: http://www.slipstick.com You can access this newsgroup by visiting http://www.microsoft.com/office/comm...s/default.mspx or point your newsreader to msnews.microsoft.com.
