Default error message 0x80040900

In Outlook 2003 I get error message 0x80040900 for one of my e-mail addresses
but it works in Outlook Express. How can I correct the error so I only need
to use Outlook 2003? Any help would be welcomed.

That's not the error message, its the error number. That number may appear
in several different type error messages, so it would really help if you
posted the whole thing. In the meanwhile:

Default error message 0x80040900

The message read: Task 'Barbara and John' - receiving reported error
(0x80040900): The server name you entered cannot be found on the network (it
might be down temporarily). Please verify that you are online and that the
server name is correct.

The emails are received in Outlook Express with no problem but I cannot
receive them in Microsoft Outlook 2002. The email address is Tiscali so I do
not understand why it works in OE and not in MO.

Please help

OK, I can see two possibilities, you have the server name entered wrong in
the account setup (a typo, perhaps), or you're running an AntiVirus
application setup to scan your email that's malfunctioning. The article I
referenced in my first post goes into these in detail.
