Send test e-mail message: An unknown error occurred, error code: 0x80070005.
I get this error message when I attempt to send emails. The system was
working earlier, but suddenly stopped. I also cannot set a signature for
emails, the buttons simply don't work.

did you try restarting outlook or rebooting the computer? This should
always be your first step when something suddenly stops working, before
tinkering with settings.
