I'm using an HP laptop and IPAQ 111 pocket pc and Microsoft Bit Defender
Internet Security. Business Contact Manager is loaded on my IPAQ, but not working properly. When I open active Sync, Business contact manager is listed, but grayed out and I cannot uncheck the box. In fact, after attempting to modify this I now have it listed five times with two of the boxes checked and all boxes grayed out. Can you help me to uninstall Business Contact Manager from my IPAQ? -- Markk |

If your iPAQ came with Business Contact Manager, then there's no way to uninstall it. It's in ROM. I've never heard of a WIndows Mobile device having that and looking at the specs for that device does not indicate that it has any software on it by that name. If you added that software then, simply uninstall it. StartSettingsSystemRemove Programs Perhaps you mean that you have BCM loaded on your PC. -- Brian Tillman [MVP-Outlook] |

I removed the program from my IPAQ and PC. However, when I go to active
syncoptions, the name "business contacts" is listed five times, three of the boxes are checked and all are grayed out. The Delete and Settings buttons at the bottom of the page are active until I click on business contacts. They then become inactive. Thank you "Brian Tillman [MVP - Outlook]" wrote: "Markk" wrote in message ... I'm using an HP laptop and IPAQ 111 pocket pc and Microsoft Bit Defender Internet Security. The Delete and Settings buttons at the bottom of the page are active until I click on business contacts. They then become inactive. The sync sources listed there appear to be kept in the file %AppData%\Microsoft\ActiveSync\Profiles\yourpartne rship\repl.dat . The fact that you still see options for removed sync sources indicates a damages partnetship. If I were you, I'd make a backup of the iPAQ, and the Outlook data store, then create a new partnership for the iPAQ. -- Brian Tillman [MVP-Outlook] |
