Default Porting Outlook 2003

I have Outlook 2003 and XP.

I just bought a new computer and used the Export/Import Wizard to copy over
my settings. However, it ignored Outlook completely. So, I had to copy over
by hand my pst file in C:\Documents and Settings\my name\Local
Settings\Application Data\Microsoft\Outlook.

Then I had to fiddle around with some settings to get my Address book to be
seen in Outlook. Also, I had to reset my fonts for incoming mail, etc.

Is there an easier way to port Outlook?

Thanks.

No. None of the automated transfer tools have ever worked with Outlook and
should not be attempted.
Copying over your old data file the default location is also not
recommended. You will very likely overwrite another PST file and you will
not connect the file to your Outlook Profile correctly. Proper methods for
Outlook data transfer are posted here daily.
