![]() I had a rule that stopped working. I edited the rule and changed the name (from "george" to "George1"), and it while the renamed rule works fine, Outlook immediately started popping up a "Rules in Error" message. What's really weird is that it’s reporting on "george"! I thought that maybe Outlook just didn't like "george" being renamed like that (although I never had any trouble doing the same thing in the past), so I completely deleted "George1" then closed and reopened the Rules windows and recreated it; but I’m still getting the same error message about the "george" rule! How can I get Outlook to forget about "george" and get on with its life! Does anyone have any ideas? It’s really pretty annoying, since the condition that these rules were set up for occurs quite frequently! Thanks in advance for any help! Cheryl |

Try exporting your rules with the Rules Wizard, starting Outlook once with the /cleanrules command prompt, then reimporting the rules you saved. -- Brian Tillman [MVP-Outlook] |
