I am confused. I have the 2.0 OCT/ADM/GPO setup.exe files, SP1, and, have
used OCT to ENABLE the "Prevent Installation Prompts when Windows Desktop Search Component is not present", and, I have the exact same thing set to ENABLE in a GPO. This seemed to be working...until lately. Now, I am seeing the prompt again, and, have verified that both the MSP and GPO ARE set to enable, and, RSOP shows the GPO in effect on this computer/user. I searched Google, and, found info on Point_String (http://www.slipstick.com/outlook/showdialog.htm and http://blog.coretech.dk/confmgr07/so...t-up-to-date/). So, do I ALSO NOW have to put in this RegHack? What has changed? Thanks! |
