Default Outlook 2007 and Vista

Thank you DL for this information and so quickly. I will try this when I get
home tonight. I know that my Hotmail is a Pop3 mail. Where can I find the
ISP help pages?

Configure Outlook with the correct type of Account, its not an Exchange
account connection, possibly Pop or IMAP account depending on your ISP
With Outlook closed, open Control Panel, in classic view, open the Mail
applet, remove the Exchange connection.
See your ISP help pages for setup details, maybe shown as Outlook Express
set up or Windows Mail

I am in the same boat as many others it would seem.
When I got my vista I had windows live mail and not outlook.
This I was fine with since outlook didn't really matter to me much.
Well now that I have a motorola Q9c phone it does. The only way I can get
my contacts and such from my phone to my computer is by using Outlook
2007.
I keep getting can't configure your account please check to make sure you
have the right exchange server and I have no clue what to type in there.
I
found one exchange server by accident last night and keyed that in and it
really didn't like that. Like others I just keep getting the retry, work
offline, and cancel message. When I hit cancel it keeps giving me that
error
untill it finally just shuts down and kicks me to my desk top. I can't
configure a thing in OutLook since I can't get into the dang thing. I
also
have the connacter and it isn't doing a thing as well. And yes it is
installed and so are all the updates for OutLook 2007 I checked all that
all
ready. I am just really frustrated right now. Working and looking just
about every night for two weeks is getting old.
What can I do?
