So after much searching across the intertubes, I've managed to find a lot of
people who say "who cares?" about Outlook adding the +1 to phone numbers. While I admit that my Outlook-synced phone can dial them just fine, I have programs that don't deal well with the +. I didn't write them, so it's not like I can just up and fix them, ergo, the simply solution should be to get Outlook to stop adding little pluses everywhere. As the subject says, I'm trying to get this done in Outlook 2007 on Vista. |

Outlook only does this if you've told it to in its dialing options.
Turn off that option in Contacts Actions Call Contact New Call... -- Russ Valentine [MVP-Outlook] "Amazingant" wrote in message ... Are you clicking the phone button or number? (Business..., Home.... etc
beside the number field) The +1 should only be added if you click the buttons or double click on the number. See http://www.outlook-tips.net/archives/2009/20090410.htm for a way to avoid formatting - but again, you can't open the Check Phone Number dialog. -- Diane Poremsky [MVP - Outlook] Need Help with Common Tasks? http://www.outlook-tips.net/beginner/ Outlook 2007: http://www.slipstick.com/outlook/ol2007/ Outlook Tips by email: Exchange Messaging Outlook newsletter: Outlook Tips: http://www.outlook-tips.net/ Outlook & Exchange Solutions Center: http://www.slipstick.com You can access this newsgroup by visiting http://www.microsoft.com/office/comm...s/default.mspx or point your newsreader to msnews.microsoft.com.
