In the past I used to get a promt to reduce the size of attached images, whch
helps when I send iamges to folks that don't understand how to mofify
pictures. I no longer receive this prompt, though.

Is there a setting in Outlook 2003 that I can select to prompt me to reduce
the size of attached image files?

Try this:
When you open a new message, go to View-Toolbars and click Task Pane if
there isn't a check there already. Try adding a picture as an attachment and
see if the task pane shows the image resize options.

Alternatively, you could add the attachment and look to the right side of
the screen. It should say Attachment Options. If you click on that, it will
open the Task Pane with the attachment options. I hope that helps.
