Default Web page e-mail links start Outlook installer instead of Outlook Express

A friend has a problem with clicking on an e-mail link on a web page.
She has recently installed Office Professional 2007, but has not
"activated or used" Outlook 2007 yet.
(WinXP)
She is using Outlook Express OK, except that selecting an e-mail address
on a web page, does not open Outlook Express, but opens an Outlook
Installer window. Selecting "NO" then prevents any interface with web
page e-mail addresses.

Any help appreciated :-)

1. See http://www.oehelp.com/oedef.aspx; then see...

2a. http://www.oehelp.com/oelnk.aspx and/or...

2b. Start | Settings | Control Panel | Add/Remove Programs | Set Program
Access and Defaults | Click on the downward-pointing arrows to the right of
the configuration that's already checked | Email: Select "Outlook Express"
here (not "Use my current...").

If still no joy, see:
