Default New Exchange account in Outlook 2007 on Windows 7 32-bit

How is this accomplished? I have looked for the Mail applet in Control Panel
with no luck, and most posts regarding its diapperance apply to 64-bit OS.

Thanks,
Scott

Where in Control Panel are you looking? Have you tried a classic view? It's
there. I have Windows 7 32-bit anf the Mail applet is definitely available.

And if push comes to shove, one should be able to open a command prompt and
type:

control "c:\program files\micorsoft office\office12\mlcfg32.cpl"

Thanks. I found a value for "Mail" in

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Curre ntVersion\Policies\Explorer\DisallowCpl

which when deleted resolved the missing applet issue.

In classic view the applets go from "Location and other Sensors" to "Mouse".
This is an in-place upgrade from Vista Pro (32-bit). I do not know if the
Mail applet was there before installing Windows 7 as I did not require access
to Exchange until now. Perhaps there is a registry entry I could update
(preferable to re-installing Outlook as my installation media is in a storage
unit 1000 miles away).

Best,
Scott
