Hi,
A friend of mine a desktop with Outlook 2000 and a laptop with Outlook XP. Now, he wants to be able to share the contacts between the two computers. He has about 8,000 contacts that are in the laptop and a few hundred in the desktop. Now merging the two contact lists in not a problem. I was thinking up setting up a pst file for the contacts and putting the pst file on a external hard drive. At the most there will be 20,000 contacts that will need to shared. Does anybody know a better way to share contacts. Thanks, Don |

Thanks,
I did look at that web site already and were a couple of programs that might make it easier to share contacts. Don William Lefkovics [MVP] wrote: It sounds good to me, subject to network stability. For the network .pst, it's great that it's there available to multiple
people, but only one can access the .pst at one time. That is probably an ok solution for your friend, but he must disconnect from the .pst before reconnecting with the other computer. Dear Donard,
it is not possible by default to share PST files, only 3rd party programs support this. On the Microsoft Office Marketplace site is a list of third-party messaging tools: http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/ma...719621033.aspx On this site is an article on various ways to share Outlook data: http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/as...477571033.aspx -- Oliver Vukovics Share your Outlook PST "live" without Exchange: Public ShareFolder Share your contacts, calendars, task, distribution lists or e-mails http://www.publicshareware.com "Donard Toro" schrieb im Newsbeitrag ...
