Default one email address for each contact...

hi community...

I wish to send multiple emails to a 'distribution list' with one email
address listed for each contact in the 'To' field.

when I try this ALL the contacts email address' are shown for everyone.

all help greatly appreciated and I thank all for your help and time with
advice.

Why are you enclosing your terms in quotation marks? Why not tell us exactly
what you want to do using terms we all understand? Everyone knows that you
would never use a 'distribution list' to do send individualized messages.
What are you doing? What do you want to do? If you need help posting

am trying to send personalized emails to everyone, with one message.

....so in the TO field only their email address is shown, not everyone else's.

To do that you'll need to mail merge to e-mail. What version of Office are
you using?

That would require using a mail merge to your Contacts. You could not use a
distribution list for this.
You'll find instructions in the Help files and several online sites such as

A distribution List is one way to create a group of email addresses so that
you can send a single message to multiple recipients. If you want to send an
individualized message to multiple recipients, you must use a mail merge to
electronic mail. You cannot do a mail merge to a DL. You can only merge to
Contact Records.
