When I press the "To" in a new message I get this:
"The address list could not be displayed. The contacts folder associated with this address list could not be opened; it may have been moved or deleted...." when I click "OK" I get a list of 5 address books, all empty except one, the one with the contacts. However, I have only one address book in me Outlook folders. I tried everything that was suggested in the Help topics but nothing seems to work. Any suggestions? |

Suggest configuring your Outlook Address Book correctly. Method depends on
your version. You mentioned neither that nor the steps you used to corrupt your current settings. You can always read the KB: http://support.microsoft.com/default...Product=ol2002 -- Russ Valentine [MVP-Outlook] "Old Chicken" wrote in message ... If you have Contacts in the Contacts folder but they are not accessible when
you click on the To button, check these settings: Make sure the Contact folder is enabled as an email address book. Right click the Contacts folder, choose Properties then Outlook Address Book. Is the box to enable as email address book is checked? If this is grayed out... Go to Tools | Email Accounts, choose View or change existing directories or address book. Is the Outlook Address Book present? If it isn't listed, add it and close and restart Outlook. If it is listed, then remove it and close then restart Outlook and repeat these steps to add it. -- Diane Poremsky [MVP - Outlook] Author, Teach Yourself Outlook 2003 in 24 Hours Coauthor, OneNote 2003 for Windows (Visual QuickStart Guide) Need Help with Common Tasks? http://www.outlook-tips.net/beginner/ Outlook Tips: http://www.outlook-tips.net/ Outlook & Exchange Solutions Center: http://www.slipstick.com Subscribe to Exchange Messaging Outlook newsletter: "Old Chicken" wrote in message ...
