Default Microsoft Outlook Error at Startup

I am setting up a new Dell PC running Windows XP. When I startup I get a
message saying "Microsoft Outlook - Either there is no default mail client
or the current mail client can't fulfull the messaging request. Run
Nicrosoft Outlook and set up it as the default mail client. This message
appears twice at startup". When I check Outlook it says in Options/Mail
Delivery/Accounts that I have a mail delivery account setup as default. So
now I am stumped as to what to do" to eliminate the two startup error
messages.

Not certain what you mean by setting up a new Mail Profile?

I went into Outlook and set up a new Default Mail Client via
"Tools/Accounts/Mail"

Or should I be doing something else. This did not solve the Problem. Still
getting the Starup error and also can't email an Internet page as a Link or
as a Page. I get the same message...

Mail Accout != Mail Profile.

Control panel-Mail Icon-profiles-new.

I am running Windows XP Media Center 5.1 and when I go to control panel/Mail
I get" Internet Accouts as my next screen not Profile" This is the same
screen I get when I open Outlook when I go to Tool/Account/Mail. Going via
the control panel / mail -- again I tried setting up a new Account and
setting it as default but this did not solved the problem. I still get the
same Error message.

How or where do I find Profile ??? What am I doing wrong?

You're using Outlook 2000 in Internet Mode Only, which does not allow access
to the mail profile via the user interface. It always helps to state your
Outlook version and mode, if applicable, in the very first post so that
people can make the correct suggestions at the outset.

To create a new mail profile with your Outlook, you have two choices. One
is that you can reconfigure your Outlook to use Corporate/Workgroup mode,
which will change ToolsAccounts to ToolsServices and will make profiles
available in Control Panel. The second is that you can, with Outlook
closed, remove your current profile with the Registry Editor. It's in the
key
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Windows
Messaging Subsystem\Profiles\Microsoft Outlook Internet Settings . When you
restart Outlook it will create a new profile for you.
