I just upgraded to Office XP from Office 2000, and when I click the address
book icon in the "To" section of a new email, I get duplicate entries of the same name. when I check the properties, the duplicate entries are of the different email addresses I have listed in the contacts. Previously, i could check the properties and change the default address -- is this possible in XP? nkg |

It has never been possible with the Outlook Address Book. It was designed to
display each address separately, which is what most users prefer. You were using the Windows Address Book before. You must have been using the simplified, Internet Mail Only mode of Outlook, which no longer exists. -- Russ Valentine [MVP-Outlook] "nkg554" wrote in message ... I have been using the Outlook that came with the Office 2000 upgrade. Thanks
for the info -- I won't spend any more time trying to "fix" it. NKG "Russ Valentine [MVP-Outlook]" wrote: It has never been possible with the Outlook Address Book. Ah, but Office 2000 came with two completely separate versions of Outlook.
Few people realized that until they discovered they were using the wrong one. http://www.slipstick.com/outlook/choosingmode.htm -- Russ Valentine [MVP-Outlook] "nkg554" wrote in message ...
