Default How do I transfer items from my contacts folder to the "to:" list

I've imported contacts from an excel spreadsheet. However, when I compose new
mail, I cannot seem to access this list of contacts from the "to...".

I am using Microsoft Outlook 2003.

Any help would be appreciated.
