Default Can't see contact details

When looking at a Contact using Detailed Address Cards, we can see email
addresses, business addresses and phone numbers etc.

When we select a Contact from the address card list by double clicking on
it, it opens the contact screen, but the email address and business address
are not showing.
I have ran the scanpst.exe, which didn't correct the problem.

I have exported the pst to a file, then imported it into another system.
Those results are dismal. The contact's 'file as' header is empty, and not
all of the emails and sent emails transfer over.

Did these email addresses ever appear correctly? If so, any idea what might
have corrupted these Contact Records? How were these records originally
created?

Yes they did appear correctly. Back in April an error message appeared while
running outlook. I did not make a record of the error, but it said to run
the scanpst utility. We did that, and since, it does not display correctly.
When we open the address book, it doesn't show any email of phone number
information there either.

I believe that the scanpst made a backup before it did the repair.

Well that's a little late since the damage was already done by then. You can
try alternating a scandisk utility with the Inbox Repair Tool to see if
anything else can be repaired. If not, then you will need to restore the
damage manually and learn to backup your data.

Yes, I understand the value of backing up.
However, the data is there.
The problem is that Outlook does not display it correctly in the different
views available.
How can the data be there in the detailed address view, and not be shown in
the other views of the contact?
You can't export the data either, even though it's shown in the detailed
address view.
This doesn't seem to be a function of whether the data was backed up or not.
If the data is there, shouldn't outlook display it?
The scanpst utility nor the reinstall program function in Add and Remove
programs don't fix anything (in this case).
I would think that there would be a utility that would at least let you
repair the indeces of the database. Or let you export the data correctly.

Forget about the views for now. Does the data appear in the Contact Record
when you open it?
Data that can be repaired will be repaired by the Inbox Repair Tool.
Have you searched for third party products? If the Inbox Repair Tool fails
to repair the PST file, you can use the following tool to find out what can
be fixed:
