The format of the number in Outlook has no effect on dialing. Your dialing
rules do. Make sure you enter numbers in canonical format: http://support.microsoft.com/?id=318575 -- Russ Valentine [MVP-Outlook] "Arend" wrote in message ... when i insert the area code in an outlook contact, it is being automatically into brackets. when i try to call a contact outlook ignores the area code and i have to manually remove the brackets in order to include the area code!! how can i fix this? thanks, Christos - Greece |

Thanks but the only way to make this work is to make a new rule for every
area within the country. There are hundreds area codes spread all over Greece!!!! A simple button like always dial area code would have made the job, like it does it with other programs like winfax. Is there any other way to say to outlook to always dial all area codes than me go and make manually a few hundreds of rules? Thanks and regards, Christos "Russ Valentine [MVP-Outlook]" wrote: The format of the number in Outlook has no effect on dialing. Your dialing rules do. You should ask in a telephony group about rules to control dialing in your
area. This is not an Outlook issue. -- Russ Valentine [MVP-Outlook] "Arend" wrote in message ... Thanks but the only way to make this work is to make a new rule for every area within the country.
