You can't. DL's are among the many things that exporting and importing
destroys. You should never use exporting and importing to transfer Outlook
data. You're using the same program, right?. You have to need to export or
import. Just copy the data file the DL's are in and open that file in the
other installation.

Thanks, Russ, but I don't want all the contacts on my desktop - just those on
the distribultion lists. I would also like to give one of the distribution
lists to a colleague who neds it. Seemed that export/import was the way to
go. If it isn't, why is it available? And why does it wotk for individual
contacts but not a distribution list?

I cannot answer why Outlook's import and export function doesn't work.
But it doesn't.
If you don't want to transfer the rest of your data, then just put these
DL's into their own PST file and copy it.

Copy the original PST (with Outlook closed) and in on the destination
machine, open the PST with FileOpenOutlook Data File. Open that PST's
Contacts folder, select the DLs you with to transfer (click and CTRL-click),
then click EditCopy to Folder, specifying the Calendar folder in the main
PST. When the copy completes, close the added PST with right-clickClose.
