I have been most unsuccessful in finding my personal address book which I
would love to delete. When I hit the two, I guess it responds to this address book. The order simply doesn't work for me. How do I know if my personal address book and outlook differ? |

I would start by describing more precisely what you mean and in what version
of Outlook. Be aware that Outlook has not used a Personal Address Book for many years. Accordingly, it is unlikely that you are. Outlook stores Contact information in Contacts Folders, not "address books." -- Russ Valentine [MVP-Outlook] "Jeanne P" wrote in message ... Pardon my ignorance--But, what's the difference between the two? I can't
tell much difference between the address book in OE6, and the Contacts folder in Outlook 2003. -- Regards "Russ Valentine [MVP-Outlook]" wrote in message ... Outlook and OE are two completely different programs which use completely
different data stores. In OE, Contacts are stored as a separate file (*.wab) and are viewed in the Windows Address Book. In Outlook, Contacts are stored in the same location as all other Outlook Data and do not exist separately. Moreover, no data is stored in the "address book" in Outlook. In Outlook, the address book is a virtual address book: it's just another view of your Contacts Folder. Thanks Russ.
That cleared things up a little. -- Regards "Russ Valentine [MVP-Outlook]" wrote in message ... Outlook and OE are two completely different programs which use completely different data stores.
