In Outlook 2000 SP-3, I am having trouble creating and sending messages. I
keep getting a message that says "An error occurred while trying to open the Windows Address Book. Unable to find the WAB DLL." Now, I have searched the web to find some solutions, and I have uninstalled and reinstalled Outlook several times. I am also concerned that I am going to loose me messages and address book. Does anyone have any suggestions about how to correct this. I am pretty good with computers, but I am not an expert with Outlook. |

Hello Matt,
You probably need to reinstall Outlook Express (instead of Outlook) in order to fix this problem. See this article: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/196210/en-us -Ben- Ben M. Hi Ben,
I appreciate your note, but I have done this several times. This does not seem to correct the situation on my computer. I had found that note previously from Microsoft, but for me it does not seem to work for my machine. I have even renamed the wab32.dll file as described. I am running Service pack 2 in Windows XP and Service Pack three on office 2000. I can receive mails, but I can not send or add from the address book. any other suggestions? Matt "Ben M.
