I have been only partially successful in importing contacts from a csv file
to Outlook '03 with small business manager. I get a MAPI error, and an A
through H data dump. Meanwhile, the remainder of my 600+ contacts are in
limbo. It just says to "try to import your contacts again later."

I began by mapping my Excel file. That didn't work, so I saved it as a csv.
Mapped that. Now I've separated the I through Z entries into a separate file,
and can't get the Outlook wizard to take them, either.

This is frustrating, as one may guess. Any clues? fixes? ideas?

We're waiting for you to provide more clues, such as the exact text of the error messages you've received.

Thanks for responding, Sue.
I was trying to get a new laptop to accept all my Contacts.
Since I wrote the post, the laptop is now 1,900 miles away and -- as of this
moment -- does not yet have internet access, although that's coming.
I will be back with my laptop next month and will attempt to reconnect with
you and this stream around July 9 or 10.
