Default Contacts option "File As" files contacts in wrong order

Outlook is supposed to file new contacts in the order specificed in Tools --
Options -- Contact Options -- Default "File As" order. My "File As" order
is Last, First. However, every time I enter or import a new contact, Outlook
files it in First Last order. The way I fix it is I individually enter into
each contact, add/remove a space, then resave it. However, can you not make a
patch to fix this problem once and for all, or is there another way to do it
automatically?

Thanks.

Those options will not apply to imported Contacts.
You can run code to change the File As... fields for existing Contacts:
