Default importing a file to anothers persons contact in Outlook

I need to import & update (find & replace with updated data) a file of
contacts for another user. I was given share access to their account and can
open their account/contacts. But cannot select their contacts as the
destination in the import process. Is there a way to do this?

Open your Contacts folder, select the items you wish to copy, and copy them
to the other person's contact folder.

Actually, I wanted to avoid putting the file (large # of contacts) in my
contacts and import directly from an excel file.

What worked (for me): I emailed the excel file to this person. Copied it to
their C: drive and then imported the file into their existing contacts.
