Hi
A friend took her computer to Best Buy for a warranty problem. Part of the problem they said was Windows needed reloaded. They were to back up all pertinent information. The machine was returned and was running fine except all her contacts in Outlook are missing. I found were they backed up the WAB which I believe is the Outlook Express address book. I am no familiar entirely with Outlook My question is what is the file type or folder name and location the contacts are filed in? How does one go about importing the contact list if located. This is on a Windows XP machine. Thanks in advance Rick |

The file you need is your Personal Folders file (*.pst) It's where all the
mail, calendar, contacts etc are stored. Take a look at these pages for info on Outlook data backup or transfer: http://www.slipstick.com/config/backup.htm http://www.howto-outlook.com/Howto/backupandrestore.htm http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/as...771141033.aspx -- Russ Valentine [MVP-Outlook] "Rick" wrote in message ...
